I talked to a restaurant owner last week. He told me his biryani sells the most in his restaurant but it's not making him money and he didn't even know that for a long time. He gave an idea, there should be an app where you add your dish, put all ingredients, how many grams you use, just take a picture of the ingredient bill and let it read automatically. It calculates the cost itself. End of the day when the counter closes, you see how many biryanis sold and how much you actually made from it. Simple as that. And it should work for every dish, every ingredient.
